The Bear’s Paw in Sandbach, one of Cheshire’s most stylish gastro inns, has been awarded the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence for the fifth year running. In achieving this outstanding status, the restaurant has been inducted into the Hall of Fame on the world’s largest travel website.

TripAdvisor’s Certificate of Excellence is given only to hospitality establishments that consistently achieve outstanding traveller reviews. The Hall of Fame was established to honour those businesses that have earned the Certificate of Excellence for five consecutive years.

The Bear’s Paw is situated in the picturesque village of Warmingham near Sandbach in the heart of Cheshire. It is part of the family-owned Nelson Hotels, which also operates The Grosvenor Pulford Hotel & Spa, The Pheasant Inn and The Fishpool Inn, all based within Cheshire. The Bear’s Paw takes great pride in its home cooked wholesome food, which has also been awarded for its quality with an AA Rosette. The inn uses only the freshest and most seasonal produce, which is locally sourced whenever possible.

All the other properties within the Nelson Hotels group are hoping to enter the Hall of Fame in 2016, as they have been awarded the Certificate of Excellence for the last four years. Being recognised by such a renowned global brand demonstrates Nelson Hotels’ commitment to delivering a high quality service for all its customers.

When selecting Certificate of Excellence winners, TripAdvisor uses a proprietary algorithm that takes into account the quality, quantity and recency of reviews and opinions submitted by travellers on TripAdvisor over a twelve month period, as well as the tenure of a business and its ranking on the site’s popularity index. To qualify, a business must maintain an overall TripAdvisor bubble rating of at least four out of five, have a minimum number of reviews and have been listed on TripAdvisor for at least twelve months.
